A Message from The President
Dear Member
Firstly may I offer you a warm welcome to the 2011-2012 season here at Eastbourne Rugby Football Club.
It is fantastic to see so many familiar faces around the club, back for another exciting season. It is equally pleasing to see so many new people at the club and many of them stepping up and being prepared to “Get Involved”. Well done to you all.
The board of directors have been busy during the closed season, working hard on the “ERFC Development Plan” and I would like to share with you a few of the many initiatives that will shortly be available throughout the club. There is something for everyone to be part of.
• The “Try Line Club” This is a monthly luncheon club for local businesses to come to the club, enjoy a first class 3 course sit down lunch, be entertained by guest speakers and have a chance to unwind on the last Friday of each month and welcome in the weekend. Membership is limited to 50. £100 per year to become a member and £15 per person for the lunches. For details contact Fraser Brooks as places are going fast.
• The “Blue and Gold Club” This is something for everyone which, not only helps the club but gives you the chance to win cash prizes each month. For £5 per month (payable by standing order) you have a chance to win one of 3 cash prizes every month. All forms and further information is available via Andy Tobin who will soon be making himself know to you all. With the membership numbers we have at the club, this could be a tremendous way to help with the much needed funds that the club require. Look out for Andy; he’s coming to get you!
• The “Mighty Bourne’s” mini and junior supporters club. A little birdie tells me, that soon, there is to be a new member at the club and someone I am sure all the boys and girls here will love. Yes, “Bourney the Bear” the clubs mascot is on his way. The mini and junior supporters club offers the boys and girls the chance to be Bourney’s helper for the day, meet all the first team players, receive a bumper goody bag to include, T shirts, Mighty Bourne Water bottles, boot bag, membership card, badge and birthday card from “Bourney” and the first team captain. All this for £24.99. More information and membership forms will be available very soon.
• KIT SHOP. Last but not least, for those of you that look regularly on the club’s website you will see that the “Kit shop” has now gone live. Here you will find all the clothing and merchandise for the club. The kit shop is constantly being update and we hope you will find all you are looking for here.
