This month Feb 2013, Russ Aikenhead has been voted our Club Person of the Month. Russ is not only acting as Club 1st XV Captain whilst Joe Tobin recovers from his injury but is the 1st XV Number 9 (Scrum Half). When not playing with the 1st or training 2 nights a week he can be found Coaching our very own U15’s side along with Lead Coach Simon Godin and fellow assistant Coach Kevin Davis.

Russ is really a true ambassador of this Club and continues to be an ambassador for Rugby itself, just recently joining Eastbourne’s Coaching Team in hosting several sessions at Ratton School (Year 7) and has for several years assisted with many sessions hosted at Willingdon Secondary School.

Club Present John Feakins and Club Chairman Fraser Books were honored to present Russ with a bottle of Champaign of behalf of all of us at Eastbourne Club as a small token of our appreciation and to reward Russ for his continued commitment to the Club and Rugby as a Sport.
