Whether you're carrying an injury and want to stay involved, a parent who's been roped into blowing the whistle on a Sunday morning, or just someone who wants to give something back, this course will give you the skills and confidence to referee safely at any level, from minis right through to senior rugby.

It's also a great first step if you're interested in progressing to society refereeing down the line, but there's no pressure – plenty of people just want to help out at their own club. The more qualified refs we have, the easier it is to make sure all our teams have cover when we need it.

Cost: £40 per person (the club will reimburse this once you've completed the course)

Before the day, you'll need to complete 12 online modules – around 6-7 hours at your own pace. Then on the day itself there's plenty of practical, on-the-grass stuff to put it all into practice.

You just need to be at least 14 years old.
