The Three Peaks Challenge – Raising Money for Charity

Stephen Snell22 May 2013 - 19:29

Eastbourne Rugby Coaches Jon Burnett, Martin Writer and Club Member Cally Harborne embark and take on the famous Three Peaks Challenge in order to raise much needed funds for our very special Charity ' You Raise me Up.

On Thursday 6th June 2013 the Team along with support members Amanda Burnett and Steve Snell will drive over 10 hours to Scotland in preparation to start their Challenge on Friday 7th June.

The Three Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in 'one go', these being;

Ben Nevis (1,334m) Scotland
Scafell Pike (978m) England – Lake District
Snowdon (1,085m) North Wales

This will take approximately 14 hours of non-stop walking to achieve within a 24 hours period, a really tough event requiring incredible fitness and stamina, ALL in aid of raising as much money as possible for Eastbourne's very own 'You Raise me Up' Charity.

Can we take this opportunity not only to wish Jon, Cally and Martin every success but ask for donations and sponsorship for the Charity, please follow the link below to make donations and indeed to find out more about the Charity and reason why it is so close to our hearts, just click on the links below;
