[b] Brilliant performance from the Eastbourne U13s in their first waterfall fixture today.

A lovely sunny day for rugby today and the boys were certainly in the mood for a good performance.

A strong start forcing some turnovers early on resulted in a ball coming out of the ruck with pace thought the hands from Sawyer and Tom falling to Oscar who uncharacteristically did not run it into people however set off on a sprint out wide. This was then passed to Bertie who had the blinding pace down the line to slot in for Eastbourne first of the day.

This helped Eastbourne with the belief. With Henry, Eddie and Alfie dominating the scrums in the front row the ball came out with passes down the well oiled back line again to Bertie who’s quick feet again out paced the defence to tap down for a second.

The opposition then started to come into the game and gave Samuel at full back a testing with some difficult kicks Samuel dealt with these brilliantly and came running up.

It was then Hunters time to shine with a defensive masterclass on the wing and some brilliant runs down the left.

The opposition continued to pressure and Toms kicks at flyhalf relieving the pressure. This allowed centers Oscar and max to push it up the field resulting in Oscar taking on most of the opposition and dramatically touching down for a third. Miko and Oakley were brilliant in the break downs securing the ball and winning the ball back.

The replacements then started to come on with Benjamin stepping in to scrum half for an injured Sawyer. Showing off his passing and knowledge of the game.

Charlie was then on as his waterfall debut as Hooker and using his power and pace in the rucks and breaking the line.

Wyatt was on playing several positions and slotting in where needed to be being there for his team as an option and getting involved in all the breakdowns.

It was then Elliot’s time to power through the line driving back the opposition giving the boys who hadn’t come off a welcome break.

Alex was then instrumental in breaking down the defence further and being pack leader firing the scrum up.

Captain Max has then pulled an outrageous dummy tricking the defence narrowly getting tacked just before the line. This has then led Oscar to see this and go for it himself and pulled a brilliant goose step and crossed the line.

A raft of changes has then given the players and coaches a bit of confusion and most players were out of position however the boys corrected this them selves and stopped listening to the coaches.

They have then set off Henry down the wing who has powered over down the wing for Eastbourne’s fury of the day.

Special mention to Bobby who although wasn’t playing came down to help the team warm up and complete training before the match.
