Match report for the Nomads from Coach Tommy Strange.

The first half saw Eastbourne play some excellent attacking rugby with the forwards setting a platform from lineouts and scrums for the backs to score some exquisite trys. Reece Negus opened up the scoring with Connor Burleigh finishing off the second. Newick scored a try from a catch and drive before Man of the match Adam Nnochiri scored two excellent trys beating multiple defenders. Nomads went into halftime 24-5 up.
The second half proved to be more of a defensive masterclass then attack, with no points scored from either side. Eastbourne spent most of the half defending their try line with wave after wave of attack from Newick but fortunately for Eastbourne Newick never managed to score with Captain Paul Keen holding up two of their try attempts. Although no points were scored by Eastbourne, the second half showed grit and determination in defence which shows the hard work in training and team work is rife in the Nomads squad. Final score 24-5 Eastbourne.
